Two of the three student filmmakers of "An IDEA for Tomorrow" have younger siblings with Down syndrome, and as high school seniors, we wanted to showcase the single piece of federal legislation that governs the entire education of students with disabilities. "An Idea for Tomorrow" details the positive effects of the IDEA, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, with specific attention to the inclusion for children with disabilities in general education classes. We want to give recognition to the recently defined class that is American students with disabilities.

Severiano Romo, Alexis Rainery & Molly Kerwick won 1st Prize in C-SPAN's 2015 StudentCam competition for their documentary, "An IDEA for Tomorrow."
