Description
Due to restrictive policies regarding the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Tulsa stretch of the Arkansas River currently contains very little water. In my documentary, I examine the potential economic, recreational, and aesthetic benefits of increased water levels, and how the construction and implementation of federally funded low-water dams can accomplish this, while sustaining the benefits of the Water Resources Reform and Development Act.
McKinleigh won 1st Prize in C-SPAN's 2015 StudentCam competition for her documentary, "Dam it, Tulsa! Fix the River".
