The power went out today, so I decided to get the ice cream out so it wouldn't melt in the freezer.
Dad and I discuss the problem of not having electricity and what to do about that.
Today the NSW Rural Fire Service conducted hazard reduction fires in many areas of Sydney. This will occur until the 17th of September, 2009.
If you live in NSW, it's mandatory to make sure your home is hazard-free. This means cleaning gutters, putting leaf litter and dry/dead plants in vegetation bins, knowing when to stay or leave.
For more information read the Bush Fire Survival Guide provided by the NSW RFS.
