StudentCam is C-SPAN's annual national video documentary competition that encourages students to think critically about issues that affect our communities and our nation. For the 2018 competition, we asked students to choose a provision of the U.S. Constitution and create a video illustrating why it's important to them. The Free Exercise Clause gives us the freedom to practice our beliefs without being discriminated against or be forced to create or do something we are against. However, after digging into the sweet details of the Masterpiece Cakeshop Case, it has become clear that both sides would be properly protected by this clause and yet, this is what Supreme Court must determine; whose beliefs are on the chopping block?
