StudentCam is C-SPAN's annual national video documentary competition that encourages students to think critically about issues that affect our communities and our nation. For the 2018 competition, we asked students to choose a provision of the U.S. Constitution and create a video illustrating why it's important to them. This documentary delves into the tribulations of big data and the privacy concerns of the new technological age. It specifically focuses on the 4th Amendment and its application in a digital world,where the identities of regular users are susceptible to any search and seizure--a situation unforeseen by the Founding Fathers. Highlighting the growing integration technology has in our daily lives, the documentary seeks to establish how that involvement affects our rights when our digital selves are so similar to our real selves.
