There are too many Americans living in poverty. Unemployment rates have dropped, but the number of people living in poverty has remained virtually unchanged. Manufacturing has been returning to the States, but in a different way. Manufacturing jobs now require an education, leaving unskilled workers entry level jobs with low pay. The presidential candidates should discuss what changes could be made so that people have the opportunities and skills to get out of poverty.
