I took my first flight on Virgin America from New York (JFK) to Los Angeles (LAX) in June, 2009.
Here's some of the technologies they had on board:
- Touch screen (no where near as sensitive as an iPhone; horrible to browse)
- Google Maps for the maps (finally!! Although no hybrid or satellite option)
- In-flight chatroom or chat while watching a TV show
- On-board Wi-Fi (can only be used with one device per payment; it stopped working because I tried switching back and forth between my MacBook Pro and iPhone) and power outlets.
All around not as great as it's hyped up to be.
