April 17th 2010 was Record Store Day. This is the first time I've heard of this holiday.

I'm not sure if it's just a national thing in the USA but I figure if it was international then I would have heard about it in Australia.

Nevertheless independent record stores participate and offer great discounts on records (vinyls) as well as offering free food beverages and live music throughout the day.

It's quite a fun experience.
