As I mentioned yesterday, I aimed to go to bed around 2am. The power in our neighbourhood went to about half-power just as I was going to bed. It was weird. There was hardly any light outside because it was a new moon.
Eventually the power went out completely. Soon after, bright flashes appeared in the sky. This wasn't lightning because there was no thunder, but there was a strange sound about 1km away that sounded like scratching.

When I finally decided to go to bed I thought I could smell the smell of the Sydney Dust Storm. Again?
In the morning I realised this was just a false alarm; there was no dust storm.

This afternoon I watched a documentary on Viddler simply titled "Water". It was very fascinating. It discussed the idea of water being able to retain memories. I highly recommend you watch it.
