Here's a little tip for those of you that enjoy low-maintenance gardening.

Using pine needles as mulch will help keep in moisture in the soil and thus require less watering.

Also mentioned is the fact that I filled up an entire large plastic bag with garbage and recyclables on the way home. It continues to baffle me how much waste people litter.
