Group question: What Mac do you use on a daily basis as your "main" computer? Does it have a personalized name? What are the specs? Just curious!

My "main" Mac is a MacBook Core 2 Duo 2 Ghz (middle range white model w/ built-in iSight that I use for Viddler recording) running OS 10.4.10 with 1 GB RAM and customized (self-installed) 180 GB HD. I refer to him affectionately as "Tosh" ;-D

I'm also a Mac collector. I have 9 *yes,nine!* other Macs which I'm sure I'll go into full detail at some point in time! (Oh, and 4 iPods.. hehe.)

I use a Black Macbook all the time - at home, at the office, and on the go. You can see it in this post. Combine that with my iPhone and it has been the best mobile setup I've ever had!

my last mac was a 24" imac maxed out named "the wall" because thats how big it was.

my current machine is 17" hi-res macbook pro, 2 gb ram and other junk. this one is named "lunch tray", not hard to figure out why, but it does everything and then some. it may not be as portable as a macbook, but i take it with me anytime i need without much hassle.

I have a 20" iMac 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

I have dubbed her "Toy Machine", it reminds me that what I do is what I love, and it's happens to be my fav sk8 board company.

I'm considering buying a macbook pro and a 30" dell monitor probably next year sometime. Unless the new iMac's blow my mind.

Sadly I don't have a MacBook yet, still waiting on my current Dell to completely fall apart before upgrading there, but my main machine is a Quad Mac Pro w/ 2GB RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB, Boot Camped with Windows XP and OS X . I use a 24" Dell (2405FPW). Love it!

i use a 20" imac, its got a 2.0ghz G5 processor and 2gb ram. i have a black macbook too but i never use it anymore

My main mac is a 12 iBook and 17 eMac. Both are G4s and have 512mb of ram and runs 10.4.10. I'm hoping to be able to upgrade to a new macpro or imac and a macbook pro soon.

At home I'm using a dual 2GHz PowerMac G5 with 4 GB of RAM and a couple 17" Apple Displays, and I've also got a 1.67 GHz 15" PowerBook G4 with 2 GB of RAM. Both are running Tiger.

At work I'm running a dual 2.66 GHz dual-core Mac Pro with 4 GB of RAM and two 20" Dell displays.

I'm using all machines on a daily basis for graphic design, motion design, and video editing.

I use a 15" Macbook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.16ghz, 2gb ram w/ the latest 10.4.x.

I use a 17" Macbook Pro 2.33 ghz Intel Core 2 Duo , 2 gb ram hooked up to a 30" dell monitor.

My two main macs are my 2x2,5 G5/2g ram and my macbook pro 2,33 / 2g ram...
Their names are Acapulco & Black Karma

I also have a titanium G4 that mainly plays itunes and that I use to surf in my bedroom called Blake Carrington

My main Mac is an iBook G4. 800Mhz, 640MB, 10.4.10. I have a hand-me-down PowerMac 7200 that is sitting on the floor right now. Plan on getting the new brushed aluminum iMac around Christmas. That's assuming the rumors are true being brushed metal. In any case, new iMac in the future and relegate the laptop to roadwarrior/couchwarrior only status.

My main mac is my white macbook 2GHZ core2duo, 2GB ram. And I also have a core solo mac mini with 2GB ram.

my main (and only) Mac is a 17 inch iMac C2D. 2 ghz, 1 gig of RAM (which I badly want to upgrade), and all kinds of goodness.

My "Macdaddy" is a G5 2 ghz 20" iMac with 2GB ram- superb machine for the last 3 years,but soon to be replaced with a new 24" aluminum core 2 duo 2.4 ghz ,upgraded to a 500gb HD. I also have an old G3 graphite 500 mhz iMac (which runs Tiger no problem),plus I gave both my kids a G4 iBook each.

Compy is a mac mini with 512 mb of ram, 1.83 gigahertz processor, 80 gig harddrive. I've had it for about a year.

I have a mac mini. 1 gig RAM, 80 gig hard drive, 1.83 gig processor.

And I have it connected to a 17 inch widescreen. It's very pretty.

I use it mostly at work, and then at home on the weekends. I use my husband's macbook when I need to after work, during the week. :-)

My main macs are:

17" IMac Intel Core Duo 1.83 ghz, 160 gb internal HD, 750 GB combined of External HD's and 2 gb of ram
13" MacBook Intel Core Duo 2.16 ghz, 100gb HD, 1.5 GB ram

Imac gets used for heavy video editing and Itunes
Macbook is used for viddler a lot and when I am on the road wrestling and need entertainment, Both are used the same about 14 hours a day at home.
